HUN LYNCH

Neo-Soul / Avant Pop

Hun Lynch is a multi-disciplinary artist of Pālagi and Samoan descent, with whakapapa to Ngāti Porou. Working across music, film, theatre, and writing, Hun’s artistic practice is both expansive and deeply personal - bridging the urgency of being alive with the more spiritual, conceptual realms of storytelling and performance. Since 2021, Hun has performed extensively across Aotearoa, opening for both Serebii and WOMB for their respective sold-out album shows. Her soon to be released record have featured on NTS Radio and 95bFM, as well further compositional offerings in theatre, dance, and screen. A powerful and spiritually virtuosic performer, her multi-talents were brought to bare on the fifth night of Neil Finn's INFINITY SESSIONS, supporting fellow label-mate, LEAO. As an actor, Hun starred opposite Nathalie Morris in Petrol (2022), the sophomore feature from acclaimed director Alena Lodkina. The film premiered at Locarno International Film Festival, screened at MIFF, and was included in MoMA’s New Directors / New Films Festival in New York (2023). She will next appear in the upcoming New Zealand feature film Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant, directed by Thunderlips and starring Jackie van Beek and Arlo Green (2026). Hun Lynch is a boundary-pushing artist whose singular voice continues to draw new audiences across disciplines and borders.
